What is Speech Therapy? (ST)
Speech Therapy is the treatment of individuals who have difficulty communicating or swallowing. Speech Pathologists help with speaking, language, cognitive, social and swallowing and feeding disorders in both structured and non- structured environments. Speech Pathologists and Speech therapy Assistants also treat residual deficits which present along with conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, Post Stroke, TBI, Bell’s Palsy, & Hearing disorders.
What is Physical Therapy? (PT)
Physical Therapy entails the use of exercises and physical activities to help condition muscles and restore strength and movement to individuals following an injury or illness. Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants treat physically delayed children to meet developmental milestones, and adults for return to their prior level of function.
What is Occupational Therapy? (OT)
Occupational Therapy treats individuals to recover from injuries, and to facilitate therapeutic exercises to improve the ability to perform activities of daily living at home, in the community and in work environments.
